Hikers undertake their routes at their own risk. You must be aware of your skills and be ready to face difficult situations, abrupt weather changes, height differences and your reaction in case of an accident.

Mountain rescue interventions may be very expensive.
In the Valais, rescue is carried out by the company Air-Glacier and it is possible to subscribe to an insurance policy with them on the website www.air-glaciers.ch.
You may also opt for a daily insurance policy with a private insurance company.
In the Aosta Valley, mountain rescue is carried out by the Regional Health Service. The service is free if you are hospitalized, otherwise you will end up paying a very hefty sum.
