HISTORY
A year earlier, in 2004, the Tour du Saint-Bernard was created on the initiative of Julien Moulin. It links the Tour des Combins to the famous Tour du Mont-Blanc via the Italian-Swiss Saint-Bernard valleys.
In 2009, the Tour became a member of Alptrekking, which brings together the six biggest tours between Mont-Blanc and Mont-Rose.
In 2015, the Tour was signposted and equipped with the same online booking system as the Tour du Mont-Blanc.
In 2024, the Tour des Combins and the Tour du Saint-Bernard merged to create the Grand Tour des Combins, to better meet the needs of walkers.
However, this new tour offers a number of variants, allowing walkers to continue on the historic tours of the Tour des Combins and the Tour du Saint-Bernard.
