The Mont Gelé flat hotel is located in Ollomont in the Gran San Bernardo valley, a short distance from the town of Aosta (18 km), which can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

Ollomont is a mountain village surrounded by pastures, woods and high mountains, such as the Grand Combin (4,314 m), Mont Velan (3,747 m) and Mont Gelé (3,518 m). In addition to these, there are other peaks that reach heights of over 3,000 metres.

Situated at an altitude of 1356 m, Ollomont offers the most favourable conditions for long holidays or weekend breaks all year round.

In fact, the village is the ideal starting point for a wide range of excursions (available to everyone, amateurs and experts alike). Just think of the magnificent By valley, the many lakes, bivouacs and refuges, the waterfall and the alpine flora.

As far as trekking is concerned, Ollomont is a stage on the HAUTE VOIE N° 1, the TOUR DES GEANTS and the GRAND TOUR DES COMBINS, whose trails pass right by the hotel.

In winter, there’s also the Berio ski lift and the snow park, equipped with snow cannons, the cross-country ski run (10 km long, 3 of which are floodlit in the evening and at night), the ice waterfalls and the indoor climbing gym (MAISON GRIMPE). The summer trails are ideal for snowshoeing. For the more expert skiers, there are numerous cross-country ski trails.

Ollomont also has typical restaurants, bars and bus services to and from Aosta. The bus stop for Valpelline and Aosta is 100 metres from the hotel. Ski instructors and mountain guides are available for guests.
