refuge Frassati

Book your overnight stay below:

Construction work on the Frassati refuge began in the summer of 2008 by young people from Operazione Mato Grosso, a movement of young people from all over Italy, who worked for three summers free of charge until the refuge was inaugurated in 2011.

In accordance with the construction, the refuge is run by volunteers. All the profits from its management go to support the projects run by Operation Mato Grosso in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Ecuador.

The very modern structure has been fitted out with solid wood furniture produced by the Artesanos Don Bosco carpentry cooperatives of Operation Mato Grosso in Peru.

From the large terrace you can admire the magnificent scenery of the valley.

The hotel has a bar-restaurant serving family-style cuisine, with an emphasis on local produce.

The lounge, heated by the curious cast-iron stove, can accommodate up to 90 people at a time. There is also a relaxation area with a reading corner for adults and a play corner for children.

There are 64 beds, in spacious rooms ranging from four to twelve beds. Baby cots are available on request.

The winter dormitory sleeps 8 and is accessed from the west side of the hut via a convenient staircase.

Showers and toilets are shared. Hot water is available on request.

PLEASE NOTE: we are not equipped to accommodate your four-legged friends.
